This is shocking!

It happens every winter. You’re out living your life when you hear the familiar crackle and then half of your hair decides that it’s going to weirdly stick to your face for the rest of eternity. You awkwardly push it back off your face and then it’s in this weird limbo of does it want to stand straight up, stick to your hand, or return to your face.

Static is annoying so lets jump into getting rid of it. First of all, your hair needs moisture. So swap out your shampoo and conditioner for a richer formula when the temps drop. Winter is a good time for hair masks as well to help combat the damage cause from summer heat and swimming.

Try adding in a leave-in conditioner. A very light formula can keep flyaways away and add moisture to dry hair without weighing your hair down. They can also help detangle hair which minimizes any breakage that may happen from brushing parched hair.

Rub a little oil or serum over your hair. Design.Me Hair Gloss.Me, Olaplex No.7, and Verb makes a few that are great lightweight oils. Many times serums and oils are packaged in small bottles so they are easy to take with you to stop any mid-day static attacks.

Carrying a teeny tiny purse or no purse at all? Stuff some dryer sheets in your pocket and run them lightly over your hair in a pinch. It’s works and you’ll smell like fresh laundry. LOL (My fav is Gain Moonliight breeze, it smells SOOO GOOD!)

Wearing your hair up is the obvious answer but hair accessories are back in a big way so don’t be afraid to throw your hair up in a bun and add some sparkly clips. Also lay down those baby hairs with some gel or pomade.

So give some of these a try this winter and let your personality throw some sparks and not your hair!  ;-)
