Pre Tan

  1. Remove all unwanted body hair at least 24 hours before your appointment. Wax at least 2 days before. This gives your hair follicles time to settle down and will result in a more even tan. FYI, we do waxing services as well! :-)

  2. Exfoliate prior to your tan. Exfoliating 2-3 times before your appointment, removing the top layer of skin will help your tan process better and last longer, it will also help remove any of your existing tan.

  3. Moisturize in the days leading up to your tan but not the day of. Dry skin may result in a patchy tan, and oils from moisturizers can block a tan from developing. stop all oil based products 24 hours and one shower before your appointment.

  4. All perfume, makeup and deodorant needs to be removed prior to your tan so please avoid wearing them the day of your appointment. Some deodorants may react to the developing solution and cause your armpits to turn green.

  5. NO DOVE OR OLAY PRODUCTS! Use clear, liquid type soaps before your tan appointment. No bar soap or creamy white soap products.

  6. Make sure all residue from waxing and bandages (such as bandaids) are removed prior to you appointment. This residue will block the tan from developing in those areas if not removed.

  7. Wear loose fitting/dark clothes to your appointment. Spray tans can leave your skin tacky feeling and hard to get tight clothes on. Snug clothing will also remove tanning solution and cause patchy/uneven spots. Big comfy pants (no legging or jeans) and a oversized long sleeve top are your best options. Dark colors are recommended because tanning solution can rub off onto clothes. Most of the time this washes right out, but it can stain certain fabrics. We are not responsible for stained clothing so please choose your “after tan” clothing accordingly.

During Tan

  1. We’ll go over your desired shade, formula, and any add-ons you might want.

  2. You can wear whatever you are comfortable with during your spray. This is a judgement free zone so it’s up to you if your comfortable in shorts and a tank, just a thong, or anything in between. I do recommend that if you are wearing any clothing that it be an older article because it WILL be sprayed and I cannot guarantee that it will wash out.

  3. I will provide a hairnet, apply a protective cream over your nails, elbows, and knees because these areas tend to go darker because skin is thicker and drier.

  4. Your body will be sprayed with a pH spray. This helps ensure a great tan.

  5. The tanning solution is cool. This is totally normal. I’ll walk you through all the positions so you and be evenly sprayed.

  6. After your dry you can get dressed.

After Tan

  1. Avoid water or sweating for the next 8 hours. If this happens it can leave marks in your tan.

  2. You may feel sticky after your tan. Some solutions are stickier than others. This is normal.

  3. NO TIGHT CLOTHING! No jewelry, bras, watches, jeans or leggings! They will leave marks in your skin. Bring loose fitting clothing with you to your tanning appointment.

  4. If its raining on the day of your appointment. You should bring and umbrella AND a long sleeve shirt (or hoodie) and pants. I know this sounds excessive but just walking thru the parking lot can cause water to splash up on your legs and leave marks on your tan.

  5. You will appear tan when you leave but this is a cosmetic bronzer. Your real tan develops for the next 24 hours.

  6. 8 hours after your appointment you need to shower off the tanning solution. (1-4 hours after a Level 3 spray) You get in the shower and rinse off with warm water until the water goes clear. DO NOT USE SOAP OR BODY WASH! Just rinse with water.

  7. Don’t go over the recommended time to leave on the tanning solution. If you do, it will over process and can appear orange.

  8. Once your all rinsed off, get out, pat dry and moisturize your skin.

  9. At this time your tan may appear lighter. This is because the cosmetic bronzer is no longer there. Your tan will keep developing over the next 24 hours.

  10. Try to only use powder makeup until after your first shower. 24 hours after your appointment your free to go back to normal activities/routines.

  11. Moisturize daily to help extend the life of your tan.

Extra Info

  1. Tanning solution sits on the top layer of skin cells. Any excess friction, sweating or rubbing may cause you tan to fade faster in those areas.

  2. Avoid scrubs and exfoliating beads.

  3. Use alcohol free soaps and lotions.

  4. Perfume has a lot of alcohol in it so it may alter your tan in those areas. Spray on your clothing if possible.

  5. Use warm water and not hot water.

  6. You may have to adjust your makeup foundation color to better blend with your tan or apply a little bronzer.

  7. Your tan may fade faster on your face simply because it just come into contact with so many thing throughout the day. Washing drying, eating, and touching your face, your face sees a lot of action! LOL
